Version: beta, 11th, December, 2024
This is a general liability release form for the event organised by P.A.N.D.A B.V.
General Condition
To promote harmony in the world, P.A.N.D.A B.V. is hosting various events that bring people together to enjoy delicious food and drinks. These gatherings are not about gaining weight or getting drunk but about fostering meaningful connections. Through shared experiences and conversations, we hope participants will gain a deeper understanding of one another and build a community united by a common vision: appreciating the beauty in diversity and recognizing that aesthetic skills are teachable and can significantly enhance the quality of life.
PANDA’s Obligations
Acknowledging that risks cannot be entirely eliminated, PANDA, as the event organizer, is obligated to proactively mitigate foreseeable risks associated with the event and to inform participants of any relevant risks they may face.
All measures to proactively minimize potentially hazardous activities during events are explicitly outlined in PANDA’s Event Execution Manual. In the event of an unforeseen incident, PANDA is committed to actively engaging in risk resolution and damage mitigation. Furthermore, PANDA pledges to handle all subsequent matters arising from such incidents with diligence, including, but not limited to, fulfilling compensation responsibilities in accordance with the decisions of relevant authorities or adjudicating bodies. PANDA also reserves the right to pursue accountability against suppliers or third parties whose actions contribute to the incident.
For risks beyond PANDA’s control or caused by force majeure—including, but not limited to, extreme weather conditions, damages caused by third parties, or unexpected indulgence in exceptionally delicious food leading to digestive discomfort—PANDA will fulfil its duty to provide adequate risk disclosures to all participants.
Risk of Events
PANDA’s events are designed to foster joy, connection, and delicious indulgence, but like all good things, they come with risks. Below, we outline some potential “hazards” you may encounter, paired with practical advice to help you navigate them safely and responsibly.
1. Gaining weight due to delicious food
Description: Our chefs are masters of their craft, and the dishes served at our events are dangerously irresistible. Overindulgence might lead to the dreaded “post-event weight gain.”
Risk Mitigation Advice:
• Moderation is key: Taste a little of everything, but don’t turn sampling into devouring.
• Active participation: Join group dances or other active event activities to burn off those extra calories.
• Hydrate wisely: Drinking water between courses can help you feel full faster and slow your pace.
2. Falling in love with beautiful people, which could be a long-term problem
Description: PANDA events attract fascinating, beautiful souls. Beware of being smitten—it could lead to extended daydreaming, distraction, or even long-term romantic entanglements.
Risk Mitigation Advice:
• Focus on conversation: Appreciate their mind, not just their looks. Remember, compatibility goes beyond the surface.
• Set boundaries: If you feel yourself getting carried away, take a moment to regroup and remember why you’re at the event.
• Networking over romance: Keep your interactions professional and community-focused unless both parties agree otherwise.
3. Drinking too much
Description: With a variety of exceptional drinks on offer, it’s easy to lose track of your limit and overindulge, leading to regret the morning after—or worse, a headache at the event itself.
Risk Mitigation Advice:
• Pace yourself: Sip, don’t chug. Enjoy the flavors rather than the quantity.
• Eat before you drink: Having food in your stomach slows alcohol absorption.
• Designate a guardian angel: Have a sober friend or partner keep an eye on you. And always arrange safe transportation.
4. Rediscovering certain things, begin questioning the narrow frameworks of bias we previously held
Description: Engaging in deep conversations with open-minded individuals might challenge your preconceived notions and make you question everything you thought you knew.
Risk Mitigation Advice:
• Stay grounded: Recognize that challenging biases is a growth opportunity, not a crisis.
• Embrace the learning: Be open to the discomfort of expanding your perspective—it’s part of becoming a better person.
• Journal your thoughts: Reflect privately to help process new ideas in a way that feels safe and productive.
5. Knowing too much about HOW and WHY, then falling into Nihilism
Description: Exploring the deeper “hows” and “whys” of life at our events might spiral into existential questions, potentially leading to nihilism (or at least a midlife crisis).
Risk Mitigation Advice:
• Balance deep and light conversations: Alternate between meaningful discussions and light-hearted fun.
• Focus on connections: Rather than losing yourself in the abyss of “why,” remember the joy of the shared moment.
• Seek perspective: Talk to someone who’s been down the rabbit hole and found a way out—they’re often at our events too.
Disclaimer of Liability
